This advanced practical gives you the chance to work on a challenging problem from machine learning or computer vision, and make contact with the forefront of research in this domain.

Format

The format of of the practical depends on the chosen topic, but is in general rather flexible.

Requirements

Since the goal of this practical is to allow you to work deeply on applications of current research interest, you are expected to have prior knowledge on the level of the machine learning/computer vision courses offered here at the HCI (e.g. the Advanced Machine Learning course by Dr Köthe or the Machine Learning for Computer Vision by Prof Hamprecht). You should also be comfortable with reading and writing code in python or C++.
